This week's golf betting odds

Whatever tournament is in play this week, be it the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, or one of the Majors, we've got the odds ready. They are updated throughout the week as the tournament progresses, with outrights, each-way options, top finishes, group betting, and matchups all available. You can check the latest golf betting odds here.

Golf betting markets explained

There are no teams, no crazy tactics, no fixed time countdowns, or substitutions in this gent's game. Golf is you, the player, and 150 other names on a leaderboard. So, you get to explore the latest golf odds, more personal markets, and new ways to back your favourite stars.

Outright winner betting

This is as simple as betting on golf goes. You only have to back a player to win the tournament, and with over 150 names, the golf betting odds are way bigger than what you'd find in team sports. You can also wager ante-post, which involves choosing your winner weeks or even months before the event starts.

Just be aware that if a player withdraws before the tournament, Rule 4 deductions may apply to your bet, and the remaining field's odds will be updated. So, you're facing very high risks by going for early odds, but the potential rewards are also so much bigger.

Each-way golf betting (place terms explained)

Each-way betting in golf is actually two wagers rolled into one: a bet on a player to win plus another on them to finish in one of the selected positions. Because of that, a £15 each-way bet will double your stake to £30.

The second part of the bet offers you a chance to still win. So if your golfer doesn't triumph in the tournament but still finishes near the top, like the top 5, you still win a smaller payout.

Let's say you dropped a £15 each-way (£30 total stake) bet on a player to win at 20/1 with place terms of 1/5 odds for a top 5 finish. If the player comes on top, both parts of your bet pay out: £315 for the first half and £75 for the second, for a total of £390.

Say the player doesn't win but finishes third; your win bet loses, but the place bet pays out, and at 4/1, you get £75 back.

Even after removing the £30 you placed the bet with, you still have a decent £45 profit to walk away with.

Top finish markets (top 5 / top 10 / top 20)

Let's say you have a feeling that a player is going to do well in a tournament, but are not certain that they have what it takes to win it. Well, you don't have to risk going for the outright winner, as we offer top finish golf betting markets. This lets you back a player to come in the top 5, top 10, or top 20.

Yes, the odds are shorter than an outright bet, but the chance of landing a return is way higher.

You must also remember that dead-heat rules apply if players tie for the final place. So, if you bet on a player to finish in the top 10 and five players tie for that 10th spot, we'll divide the stake by the number of tied golfers, and this will reduce your payout.

Tournament match bets, 2-balls & 3-balls

With golf match betting, you no longer have to worry about picking the general winner. We group specific players together for head-to-head wagers, and you simply bet on which golfer will shoot the lowest score.

A 2-ball is two players grouped together, and you bet on who finishes higher, while a 3-ball is the same, just with three players this time.

Tournament match-ups also work the same way but span days. We again pair two similar players together, and you bet on who will finish higher on the final leaderboard.

Make/miss the cut

Most standard golf tournaments feature a halfway elimination mark after 36 holes. The 65 players and ties stay in the game and get to play the weekend rounds, while the rest are sent home. Find our make/miss the cut golf markets on most Major championships and simply tap the odds on your preferred player to lock in your bet.

Specials - first-round leader, top nationality & more

Golf offers an exciting range of specials that go beyond the main golf betting markets. You can back a player to top the leaderboard after day one with the first-round leader market or bet on the highest-finishing player from a specific country with the top nationality option.

There's also the top European market, which is basically the same concept as the top nationality option, and then there are yes/no hole-in-one markets. We also let you predict the winning margin.

However, it's worth noting that certain markets might not be available on some events. Still, you can expect the Majors to always have the full set at 10bet.

Golf Major & Tour betting

The golf calendar is stacked from January to November, but betting on golf tournaments reaches its peaks with the Majors. Explore top markets on the Open at Royal Birkdale this summer and take your pick from outright markets covering the US Open, PGA Championship to the year-round matches from the PGA and DP World Tour. Each tournament carries its own style and value, so jump in and see what's in store for you at 10bet

The Open Championship betting

The Open, or the British Open, is the UK's biggest golf event of the year. Bettors love to target specialised markets in this tournament. Alongside the usual outrights, each-way bets are highly popular, as well as local props like top British player.

Bettors also look for early value in the first-round leader market, backing early Thursday starters before afternoon winds alter the course conditions. The British Open golf odds and markets are deep, and the place terms at 10bet are generous. It's the one tournament where UK bettors love to show their love for the sport, and the odds show just how high the demand is.

The Masters betting

The Masters at Augusta National is the first Major of the year, and the ante-post markets open up to a year in advance. Back a winner in November and watch as the odds fall and rise before April. You have outrights, each-way, first-round leader, and top nationality all popping up as the tournament approaches.

This competition is also unique in that the field is smaller and the course never changes. So, if you know who plays Augusta well, you can find a real edge with 10bet's Masters golf odds.

US Open

The US Open is the toughest test golfers face and one that punishes even the smallest of errors. But for bettors who actually understand the sport, it offers a great opportunity to explore outrights, top-finish markets, and each-way options that run deep and reward those who back top players.

As with all the Majors, bettors start to jump in on the action days before the first tee, but we at 10bet offer markets months in advance. You can even get ready for the tournament by exploring our US Open golf betting tips.

PGA Championship betting

The PGA Championship is the second Major of the season and often delivers the most unpredictable winner. You have nearly all of the world's top players battling it out over long American parkland courses and outrights, matchups, each-way, and top finishes markets to bet on.

As this is one of the most competitive tournaments in the sport, you need to be more careful when analyzing US PGA golf betting odds. You have to rely on detailed analysis, and we've even got some US PGA golf betting tips to get you going.

PGA Tour, DP World Tour & Ryder Cup

Even after the Majors have all wrapped up, you can still enjoy peak golf action during most weeks of the year thanks to the PGA Tour, which runs from January to November, and the DP World Tour, which features top European talents and events like the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, the Irish Open, and the Genesis Scottish Open. All these come with deep markets and low-margin odds at 10bet.

The historic Ryder Cup also comes to the limelight every two years, with the next edition set for 2027 at the Golf Course at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland.

You can also explore team and individual markets during global events like LIV Golf, Legends Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and Presidents Cup.

Golf betting tips & strategy

At 10bet, wagering on golf isn't about throwing things on the wall and seeing what sticks. We want our bettors to fully enjoy our competitive odds and deep markets, which is why we've put together these golf betting tips.

While no golf betting system can ever guarantee a sure payout, understanding key metrics can help you make smarter decisions when predicting outright winners, top finishes, top nationality, and so much more.

Key golf betting strategies

You want to up your game? Here are four core golf betting strategies that even the most successful bettors still consider while placing their stakes.

  • Each-way value: If you're going to be betting on one player out of a field of 150, picking the exact winner is always hard, and that's why the place part of an each-way bet typically offers the best value. For a player you trust, backing them each-way at 20/1 with 1/5 odds for six places gives you a better chance of a return even if they don't win.
  • Course form: Horse racing fans have a phrase called "horses for course", and this applies to golf, too. You have players that thrive on windy coastal links and others that shine on long, soft parkland courses like Augusta. If you know who performs well at specific venues, you get an edge over bettors who just browse through world rankings before committing.
  • Conditions: Wind and rain can completely change a tournament. Bad weather on Thursday morning can ruin a player's chances before they even tee off, so check the forecast before you lock in your bet.
  • Recent form over reputation: Just because the name is popular doesn't mean the value will be great. Be on the lookout for lowkey players on a hot streak, as they might offer you returns no big name can.

Understanding golf betting odds & the dead-heat rule

Golf betting odds are typically displayed in fractional format in the UK, though decimal odds are available if that's what you prefer.

A player at 20/1 means a £1 bet returns £20 profit plus your stake back. Each-way odds are calculated as a fraction of the win odds, usually 1/5, paid out if your player finishes in the selected places.

The dead-heat rule is one part of golf betting that confuses many, though it's actually really simple. If two players tie for a position, say 10th place, and you've backed a top-10 finish, your stake on that part of the bet is divided by the number of players tied. So if two players come in 10th, your stake is split into two, and the odds are paid on the reduced stake. If it is a three-way tie, everything is divided by three.

Frequently asked questions

What makes 10bet a top site for golf betting?

We've been serving the UK since 2003 with a licence from the UK Gambling Commission. In addition to our excellent reputation, we also boast excellent golf coverage spanning all four Majors, the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LIV Golf, and the Ryder Cup, with sharp odds and deep markets. When you add that to our fast mobile app, you've got one of the leading UK golf betting sites.

What is each-way betting in golf?

An each-way bet is two wagers combined into one. One part covers the player winning and the other them finishing in specific places. So, even if the player you backed comes second but your each-way bet included them finishing in the top five, you get a return on your stake.

What golf tournaments can I bet on at 10bet?

We offer markets on all four Majors and also cover the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour, LIV Golf, the Presidents Cup, and the Ryder Cup, among others. We make sure you have something to bet on most weeks of the year, with outrights, each-way, and top finishes available at the core events.

How do golf betting odds work?

Golf odds are displayed in the fractional format by default here, but you can switch to decimal or even American if you like. A player at 15/1 means a £1 bet gets you £15 in profit plus your stake back. The reason why these outright odds are usually bigger than in other sports is that golf fields are large and generally feature over 140 players.

What happens if there is a tie (dead heat)?

If players tie for a position, say several of them come in 5th, and you've backed a top-5 finish on one of them, the stake on that part of the bet is divided by the number of players tied. In a two-way tie, your stake is split into two, and the odds are paid on the reduced stake.
