How are tennis odds calculated?
Tennis odds are based on how likely a particular tennis player is to win a match or tournament (called outright betting). The odds reflect a player's recent form and ranking. Short odds (eg. 2:1) to win mean they’re the favourite, long odds (eg. 10:1) suggest an underdog.
What is Games Handicap betting?
Games Handicap betting is about the number of games a player wins in a match, instead of a standard win or lose bet. This can make betting on a match with a clear favourite more exciting. The handicap on your bet is factored into the final score, so even if a player loses a match, your bet could still win.
Can I place an over-under tennis bet?
Yes! This a bet on how many games it will take the winning player to win; either over or under a certain number of games across all sets. With an over-under bet, the actual result of the match is irrelevant, as you are not betting on a particular player to win; only the number of games needed for a definitive match result either way.
What happens if rain stops play or a match is abandoned? Do I lose my bet stake?
If a match is abandoned and there is no option to play it out to its natural conclusion – for example, due to an injury or mid-match qualification – all bets will be declared void, with stakes returned to the bettors. However, if a match can be postponed or rescheduled, or moved indoors due to bad weather, all bets will stand, provided the match is completed before the end of the tournament.
